BEYOND AMAZING!!!
First of all - a warning. If you are easily offended, put off or angered by things that insult yours or others religious beliefs - STAY HOME! I am a Christian Pastor and it took some adjustment of my attitudes to relax and enjoy. I saw the road show version of this musical a couple of years ago, and loved it then. The songs, story, staging and performances were excellent and made for a fabulous evening. But I was not prepared for this Broadway version to be head and shoulders above the show I thought I already knew. The cast was stellar and the theater layout achieves the impossible dream that there are no bad seats in the entire house. It also seems like they've tweaked the songs and dialog a bit, resulting in two hours of non stop laughter. Christopher John O'Neill, the actor playing Elder Cunningham, will rend your heart and then split your sides alternatively and repeatedly. He is totally unlike any Broadway Actor I've ever seen yet the most brilliant casting move imaginable. DON'T MISS THIS SHOW!
